Бұл зерттеуде түркологияда қолданылатын ғылыми зерттеу әдістері мен тақырыптарының өткені мен қазіргі жағдайы қарастырылады. Зерттеудің нысаны ретінде әлеуметтік ғылымдар саласындағы беделді журналдар мен мерзімді басылымдардың деректер базасы Scopus алынды. Зерттеудің негізін 2024 жылға дейінгі түркология саласында жүргізілген зерттеулер құрайды. Бұл тұрғыда іздеу «Түрік тілі», «Түркі тілі», «Түркология», «Түркілік», «Түркологиялық» және «Түркологиялық зерттеулер» сынды түйін сөздер бойынша,
