Abstract

The beginning of the XXI century turned out to be important for the development of
Kazakh linguistics, the study and new consideration of some theoretical and practical problems that are
closely related to the policy of modernizing public consciousness. In this context, one of the primary
tasks of Kazakh linguistics is the creation of new spelling rules of the Kazakh language based on new
orthological studies, taking into account the peculiarities of the national code.
As you know, spelling rules are created as a result of gradually carried out conscious normative
activities. Approved about half a century ago, the spelling rules of the Kazakh language are highly codified
in literary and spelling norms.
In recent years, in the written communicative space there has been an increase in the so-called
“Spelling democratization”, caused mainly by extralinguistic factors such as the fixation of spoken language
in writing, the desire to use various variants of outdated and dialectic vocabulary in order to preserve the
vitality of the Kazakh language, the wide participation in written communication of various members of
society, and also to some extent neglect of established spelling norms, etc. Thus, new spelling variations
and rules appear. The article explores updated versions of Kazakh spelling standards, analyzes various
options for writing in the framework of spelling innovations recorded in the written communication space.
