Copyright and Licensing Policy

Authors’ Rights
Authors retain full copyright to their work. By submitting a manuscript to the Turkic Studies Journal, the author(s) confirm(s) compliance with the journal’s editorial and publication policies, including academic ethics, originality, and plagiarism standards. This is confirmed by submitting an Author’s Declaration along with the manuscript.

Once an article has been accepted for publication, the author(s) enter into a License agreement with the editorial board, granting the journal the right of first publication of the article. This right is transferred under the terms of a non-exclusive licence, which enables the authors to subsequently:

  • use the published work for scholarly and educational purposes;
  • deposit the article in institutional repositories, on personal websites, and on non-commercial academic platforms;
  • enter into independent agreements on the non-exclusive distribution of the article (for example, including the material in collections, dissertations, or courses), with a mandatory reference to the original publication in the journal.

Open Access License
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). This allows users to:

  • Read, download, copy, distribute, translate, and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes;
  • Provide proper attribution to the author(s) and the original journal;
  • Indicate any changes made when adapting or translating content.

Commercial use of the materials requires prior written permission from the author(s). Requests can be submitted directly to the author(s) or via the Editorial Office.
