Abstract

The article deals with the use of phraseological units in prose works of prominent representatives of the Karakalpak literature, reveals their inherent peculiarities of using phraseological units. The peculiarities of usage Karakalpak phraseological units are revealed through the texts of prose works. Each master of the artistic word has its own peculiarity and author’s style in usage of phraseological units. In the works of the writers Sh. Seitov, K. Sultanov, T. Kayipbergenov, Esemuratova, I. Yusupov, H. Dauletnazarov, M. Nyzanov, created in the XX and XXI centuries, phraseological units were used as a means of artistic description. Phraseologisms of the folk language have enriched the language of works and had a great influence on the artistic language, content and form. Writers created phraseological units based on samples of the folk language. They gave artistry to works and were well received by readers, had a wide field of application as well as phraseological units of the folk language. The use of phraseological units are considered as units without changes, with changing and using one component in a new meaning, with the inclusion of other words between the components, the with truncation of a component which were created by writers.
